What was it like at the Synod? The recent Synod on Synodality was accompanied by much speculation, with weighty issues discussed at every stage. In the latest episode of Into the Truth, we talk to Fr Jan Nowotnik, an expert on synodality, who attended the Synod in Rome as a non-Bishop, voting member.

Fr Jan gives honest answers to criticism that the Synod was too “navel-gazing”, reflects on the feedback given by Catholics about the Church throughout the Synodal process, and explains why Pope Francis opened the Synod to lay people for the first time.
